Have you ever had a time when it seemed that all there was were people saying negative things about you, your business or your success?

This morning I was listening to a sermon by Bishop T.D. Jakes. Now, I'm more spiritual than religious but I find Bishop Jakes has a wonderful outlook on life and the people around us. He said something to the effect of, "When I heard the dogs barking, I knew where the treasure was." I loved this when I heard it and like most dogs, when something gets their attention, they bark, especially if they are scared and it may do them or you harm. If you think of this in terms of your business, these "dogs" may be your competitors yapping at the attention you are taking from them or they may fear that you are going to be more successful then them.

I think that it is important to keep a pulse of what is going on about you, especially if it can improve your business. But, it it's just a bunch of yappers, realize why it is occuring, tune it out and move on to something productive
